Pengaruh Penggunaan Media Video Animasi Berbasis Canva Terhadap Hasil Belajar Matematika
Abstract
This research aims to determine the effect of using Canva-based animated video media on the mathematics learning outcomes of first-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI), particularly on the topic of plane figures. The background of this study is based on low student achievement in mathematics, which is influenced by the lack of engaging learning media and the dominance of conventional lecture methods. This study used a quantitative method with a pre-experimental design in the form of a one-group pretest-posttest. The subjects were 29 students of class 1B at MI An-Nur. Data were collected through tests, and documentation. The results showed a significant improvement in students' learning outcomes after the implementation of Canva-based animated video media. This was supported by the paired sample t-test result, which showed a significance value of less than 0.05, and the effect size calculation using Cohen’s d, which indicated a large effect. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the use of Canva-based animated video media has a positive and significant influence on improving students' mathematics learning outcomes. The visual and auditory elements in the video helped students understand abstract concepts of plane figures in a more concrete and enjoyable way.
